it’s not from stress or just a temporary thing.it just allllways comes
What acne treatments really work? I tried everything! Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have tried proactiv and pretty much everything you can buy over the counter at walmart and other drugstores. I don’t really have severe acne I just have breakouts pretty often and its really irritating! help!
How can I get rid of my acne?
I have moderately severe acne all over my face, and I’ve recently become self-conscious of it and I want to get rid of it. I just want regular skin without red spots and bumps all over it. I have blackheads surrounding my nose too. I need something that will clear up my skin, and also maybe repair minor scarring. I just want a regular face without all the painful bumps. Does anyone know some good acne treatments that don’t dry your skin out and clear it up for good?
Advice on who to listen to about acne treatment during pregnancy?
I have severe acne that was pretty under control with a daily 3 step system (Clinique’s acne system, containing salicylic acid and benzol peroxide). After finding out I was pregnant, I stopped using it because I read that it wasn’t safe on an online baby website.
Soon after stopping the treatment, my entire face became covered with acne- every inch of it, worse than I’d ever seen on anyone in my life. At my first prenatal appointment, the nurse felt bad for me but said there really wasn’t anything I could do but use a plain cleanser and maybe some baking soda for a scrub.
Yesterday I had another appointment and I asked my OB if there was anything I could do about my acne. He suggested things like the 3 step system I had been using, and told me that so long as I was using it externally, I would be safe.
I’m so confused now! I do not want to take any risks, but at this rate, my complexion is going to be scarred for life. I don’t even want to show my face in public! I swear, nobody will ever see a picture of me from this pregnancy…or my wedding (getting married in a month). What on earth is a girl to do with all this conflicting advice?
Someone asked why I’m giving the internet so much ‘clout’…I’m not giving the internet any credit, just stating that as the reason I stopped using my acne treatment in the first place.
What the issue is, is that my OB’s nurse told me to absolutely stay away from anything with salycilic acid (one of many acne fighting ingredients she advised me to avoid), then my doctor turns around and says it’s okay to use it.
My OB has been wrong before about a few things (leading me to seek treatment for a condition elsewhere) which is the main reason I would have any doubt in what he says.
What to do about suddenly severe acne?
I’m 15 years old and ever since I was about 12 or 13 I have had pimples. It was never severe and as long as I washed my face daily I didn’t have much of a problem with it. Suddenly, like within this month, it has become suddenly severe. I have a multitude of acne mostly on my forehead but some on my chin too.
I have been eating the school lunch everyday, which diet isn’t supposed to generally effect acne unless you are a total junk food eater daily. I am trying not to have chocolate because I have been known to get worse pimples from it. I use clean & clear face wash and spot acne treatment daily. I wear my hair up and out of my face a lot. Is there anything else I can do to help this? Any home remedies or changes in diet or habit to help my skin? Or will I just have to wait it out – cause like my mom said I am getting deeper into my adolescent years.
Best acne treatment! Need your help?
Okay im 13 and have combination skin. I don’t have severe acne, but enough. I only get acne in my T zone and get blackheads on my nose and chin.
IM looking for an affective acne treatment, that doesn’t have much benzol peroxide, that moisturizes my skin and isn’t really expensive!
I’d like something that has alot of natural ingredients. Comes with at least a cleanser and moisturizer!
If you could please list some (or all ingredients) and give me a link to some info and stuff. If you want to know anything more just ask for more details. Feel free to email me. Thanks

Best acne treatment for pustules and cysts?
After researching the different types of acne on the internet I have come to the conclusion that I have pustular acne with occasional cysts. I have acne for seven years now, and now that it has outlasted adolescents and the teen years, I think its time for it to go! I am pretty sure it has something to do with my hormones since I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I have tried every drug store brand and higher end brands of acne wash, cream, toner or spot gel and have tried systems like Acne Free and ProActive. None of these have helped in the slightest. My skin, although I have moderate-moderately severe acne and does typically oily, gets dried out VERY easily and salycylic acid and benzoyl peroxide especially irritate it. I have found sulfur and zinc to be much milder, but they have done little to help my acne. At this point I have given up hope on a topical treatment and am looking for suggestions for prescription antibiotics or medications. Accutane is my last resort, and am unable to take birth control pills due to a medical reason. My doctor is being not very helpful with this, so I have decided I will do the research then specifically ask her for that medication. Thanks you so much for your help!
Please help me find a good acne treatment!?
Ok here is all my info:
My name is Martin and i’m a 16 your old guy in my junior year of high school. I started to get acne in freshman year but never really did anything about it because it would only be a zit or two. Sophomore year is when i began to get a little more severe acne. Every day i had a new pimple or two. Towards the end of the year i finally decided to do something about my acne once it became very noticeable. I bought my first ever acne treatment, Proactiv Solutions. Expecting miracles, i was very disapointed when after 3 and a half months of use there was no significant difference in my facial acne. It was almost time for me to begin junior year when i suddenly got a huge breakout along the right side of my chin and jaw line. Now many people have told me that maybe this was due to stress but i know it wasnt because i had just had the best summer of my life and i had just gotten the thing most kids wait a long time for, my drivers license. At the time i was taking many muscle gain supplements, including creatine. Could it have been because of that? Well back to my acne, the right side of my chin is now scarred because of how severe my acne was at one point. As for the rest of my face it’s doing ok, i get occasional zits, but i have areas where it seems like they may never go away. i’m really careful and follow the acne free unwriten rules ( drink water, don’t touch your face, etc.) all i’m looking for is a good ance treatment that works. i have a pretty sensitvive face if that helps. i’ve tried proactiv and neutrogena advanced solutions. if you know any home treatments, or anything that will help my acne scars and acne pimples please let me know! Thanks so much guys!
