Jehovah’s witnesses: since the New Whole Foods stores apply Feng Shue to bring good spiritual energy?
Will it be against your religion to shop there. I know my Mom was not supposed to shop at Salvation Army because of the religious ties and at Safeway because they were owned by the Mormons
What say ye?

Oh great, now the elders will be standing in front of the door to see me shopping there. Guess, I am going to be counseled again.

If a denomination needs to find every little thing and check if it goes against their rules, then it is bit on the ridiculous side.

for pete sakes….Jehovah created the earth and man… It’s a store not a temple….. if you can afford it go…. of course in the new system it won’t cost more for healthy food than junk food… I hope there is still junk food though!

You write: “not supposed to shop at Salvation Army because of the religious ties and at Safeway because they were owned by the Mormons”
Well, either you misunderstood what your mom said, or your mother was misinformed. Although some witnesses may personally CHOOSE not to shop at certain businesses, there are no such RULES like that in the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Yes, the Salvation Army is an official religion, as is Mormonism, but we do not shun any business just because it is owned or run by by someone who follows a different spiritual path. (Ha! Can you imagine all the time and energy we would have to spend researching every single business and employee in all the shops in and around our own city, not to mention all the stores we use online?)
If your mother or others choose to boycott any store or group or business, that is totally up to their own consciences. We would not want to look down on them for this reason. But, neither would we want to imitate something they do without first proving it to ourselves. (Romans 12:1,2)

One whole week has passed and my comment is still awaiting moderation. Is there a problem, or have you just been out of town or something?
