Tummy Tuck in INDIA?
I have been reading about forerunners health care in India for a tummy tuck. The prices are awesome! I want to go in February 2008. But, I need to hear from people that got plastic surgery over there. Are the hospitals clean? Are the hotels nice? Did they give you good care afterthe surgery? I don’t need anybody telling me to excercise and diet. I eat very healthy. I have 5 grown children and have flab on my tummy. I have gotton down to 129lbs and still had the same amount of flab that I have now. It is stretched skin, not taken off by excercise. No rude "fat" comments, please.
I have done research. The cost would be appx. ,200.00. This includes:Airfare, 16 days @ Hotel w/guest, food, chauffer, hospital stay, Dr. fee’s, surgery, post Dr. visits, medications. I just want to know of anybody who has done this. I’m worried about the work and the cleanliness of the facilities. If you did have this done, at which facility, and who was your Dr. In the U.S., the cost for the procedure is ,000-,000, and that is only for the Dr. fee’s and procedure.

Plasti surgery on nose?
I have nothing but only to enlist help from you folks here, I do not think it’s appropriate place to ask such a question, though.
I need information about plastic surgery on accident-damaged nose, such as which hospital in what state, operation success rate, fees, etc.
I have a girl friend who has had a knife-left scar on the very tip of nose during an accident half a year ago. Ever since then she lives a very miserable life, you see she was very beautiful before that. She has tried traditional Chinese herbs or therapies. She even has been to Beijing consulting with famous hospitals. She has been told that the scar cannot be removed 100%. So she makes bold to make a decision to have an operation outside China no matter what prices it would cost her.
We do not know whether the scar can be removed completely or not in the States, which are the first-rate hospitals or at least mid-class hospitals for carrying such reconstructive operations, how much fees will be needed(surgery fee for doctor, medicine fees, etc.).
If you folks have such information to share with me, do tell me please. My e-mail address is: xiao_zhang356@yahoo.com.cn.
Thank you in advance.
Mr. Expat Froggy,
Where are you? We are palnning to make this surgry operation in the States. I have made a research on the web, it does not cost that much as you said. It is somewhere around 3,000- 3,500 USD. Would you please email me some information about you or your hospital?

is it actually worth it to have plastic surgery abroad?
I am living in California. I just thought that maybe Korean doctors know the asian faces the best and can offer the service at a low cost; but now that I thought carefully about it, the airplane tickets and the hotel room might just add up even with the price i can get here.
Do you know of anyone that does this? Do you recommend any particular doctors or hospitals?
Universal health-care, a two-tier system?
Since so many folks seem to have a problem with the US going to a univeral health-care system, I have an idea and you can tell me if it is good or not. Why not establish a two-tier system instead? On the first tier and available to everyone would be universal health-care and drug perscriptions much like those in Canada and Europe.
However, on the second tier but still available (although maybe not affordable) to everyone, will be private doctor care and hospitals. The second tier likely would not be a prevailant as the first and would not be state funded. Here would be where those who seek immediate care or elective surgeries (most plastic surgeons would be here) can go and pay a little extra for their services.
Think of these like regular and full-service. You can pay a little more to get, not necessarily better care, but quicker care. So, what about this?
Wendy, thanks for the info about Australia. I’ve even thought about moving there because of how nice it is, but do not know if I could due to the immigration process. Anyways, once all the BS is removed from the argument, the simple reason that the US does not have universal heath-care is because, like many things in the US, money is the final denominator. Too many people are getting rich by actually turning down people and not caring for them. They say "we’ll take their premiums and refuse them care, then we make out like bandits." Which is what they are.
Like I said, some folks argue politics and such as being the reason, but the answer is just cash. Health-care is big business and there are plenty of folks who want a piece of it.
Take care.
Has anyone had plastic surgery at a reduced price?
I just want to know if anyone had plastic surgery using one of those "affordable plans" that some clinics and hospitals offer. It’s where recently plastic surgery residents or fellows offer their services before going private.
If so, tell me:
what you had done
how the doctors were and
if you’re happy with the results
Thanks! ^_^

Looking for info on having cosmetic surgery ( face/nose) done outside of USA. Has anyone done it and where ?
I am trying to see which country has the best surgeons, cleanest hospitals and best safety record. I want to get a face lift and nose job. I think this was raised about a year ago but perhaps some folks may have more suggestions now or perhaps someone who has actual experience having it done may be able to share. there were comments posted about India, brazil, So. Africa but it would be helpful to have actual contact info since I have not been too successful in locating anything other than surgeons located in the USA . Thanks
